Terms of Service

Effective Date: August 9, 2026

By accessing or using NetConfig.io (“the Site”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. Use of the Site

NetConfig.io provides free educational content, configuration guides, and network utility tools (including those on our companion site, tools.netconfig.io) related to enterprise network engineering. You may browse, read, and use this content for personal or internal professional reference. You agree not to misuse the Site — including attempting unauthorized access, disrupting normal operation, scraping content at scale, or using the Site for any unlawful purpose.

2. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise noted, all articles, guides, graphics, and original content on NetConfig.io are the property of NetConfig.io and its author. You may share links to our content and quote brief excerpts with attribution and a link back to the original page. Reproducing, republishing, or redistributing full articles without permission is not allowed. Product names, logos, and trademarks referenced on this Site (e.g. Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto Networks, Meraki) belong to their respective owners — see our Disclaimer for details on our independence from these vendors.

3. No Warranty on Technical Content

Configuration examples, commands, scripts, and technical guidance are provided “as is” for educational purposes, without warranty of any kind. Vendor firmware, software versions, and hardware behavior change over time — always validate any configuration in a lab environment before applying it to production. See our full Disclaimer for details.

4. Free Tools

The utilities on tools.netconfig.io (Ping Test, Port Checker, My IP, MX Lookup, and similar) are provided free of charge, as-is, with no uptime or accuracy guarantee. Do not use these tools for any unlawful network reconnaissance or activity you are not authorized to perform against the target host.

5. Third-Party Links & Services

NetConfig.io may link to third-party websites, vendor documentation, or tools we do not control. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or privacy practices of external sites. Visiting linked sites is at your own risk and subject to their own terms.

6. Advertising

NetConfig.io displays advertisements served through Google AdSense and other ad networks to support free access to our content. Ads are served by third parties and may use cookies as described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Newsletter & Communications

If you subscribe to our newsletter, you agree to receive periodic emails about new content and updates. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link included in every email.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, NetConfig.io and its author shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — including network outages, data loss, or security incidents — arising from your use of this Site or reliance on its content.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service periodically to reflect changes to the Site or applicable law. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

10. Governing Law

NetConfig.io is operated from India. These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have under the law of your own country of residence.
